  • Demi Lovato Meet and Greet for Seventeen Magazine

    So yesterday I went to Demi Lovato’s Seventeen Magazine signing at the Barnes and Noble store at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA.

    As I’ve said before with Hilary and Ashley’s events, Barnes and Noble signings are always very well organized. I got there about 10 minutes before the store opened at 9AM to get one of the first signing wristbands.

    I ended up being 12th in line and I got some really nice pics of Demi as she was posing for the press (and their blinding flashes).

    Selena is, of course, still my favorite but I am always amazed by just how beautiful Demi is. Especially up close and in person. The first time I met her I couldn’t even speak. And this second time around, I didn’t do much better. xD

    When I handed her my magazine so she could sign it, she said “Nice to meet you” and I stammered out a reply like “Actually I met you once before at a Sonny taping. The second to last episode in fact. You were-” and at that point the lady behind her gave me a look that was like “get going, the next person is up” and I finished with a “bye.”

    So yeah… that could have gone better. But I would get a second chance. A buddy of mine was a bit further back in line with a few extra wristbands. So I went through again to help him get one of his extra mags signed. Cheating? Perhaps. But I didn’t break any actual rules. So I go through again with my friends this time and when I get up to Demi I tried to finish what I was saying earlier: “So yeah, I love you a lot. Thanks. Bye.” And at that point, after seeing that her assistant recognized me, I decided to promptly make my exit before they threw me out. xD

    Oh, and here’s a video of her thanking the fans for coming out.

    All in all, I think the whole thing went quite well. 🙂 I love Demi’s red hair, and even the new nose stud looked kinda pretty on her- and I normally hate piercings. And everyone, please be sure to go buy Demi’s issue of Seventeen Magazine. It’s only $3, and trust me it’s worth it!

  • Ashley’s concert at the Americana (Part 4)

    This will be my final post about Ashely’s 08/12/09 concert at at The Americana at Brand.

    I wanted to share a few more notable photos from my other camera. (click any picture to see the whole set)

    I got there just after four, and there where already a lot of people there. The people in the front row got there at noon!

    I went over to the Barnes and Noble, and was pleased to find that they had stocked up on Ashley’s new CD and her first album, Headstrong. They also had quite a few copies of Vanessa Carlton’s three albums (Vanessa preformed at the Americana the week before.)

    Ashley’s opening act was the Beach Girl5 (videos), featuring Miley’s BFF Mandy Jiroux whom is much cuter than I remember from their little web show.

    But personally, I think Laura New from Sydney, Australia is the cutest of them all. Or maybe I just have a thing for Australians. LOL

    After the opening act, the good folks at Donate Life made a brief presentation. You can watch it here on YouTube.

    Finally, it was time for the Tizz herself. She preformed six songs, and I posted the HQ videos of five of them.

    I was a bit disappointed that she was wearing jeans and not her usual short shorts. But she still looked awesome up there. Be sure to check out the first set of photos if you haven’t already. 🙂

    The crowd was huge. Articles written about it placed the number of people anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000!

    I also got to meet with Audrey of MissTisdale.net after the show. She didn’t get into VIP, but still got some good photos from the Press Area in the back.

  • Beach Girl5 Concert at The Americana at Brand

    Wednesday’s Ashley Tisdale concert was hands down one of the coolest things I have ever done. And I hope I’m not boring anyone with all these updates!

    Ashley’s opening act was Beach Girl5. I had never heard of them before, nor had the Radio station sponsoring the event! But I eventually found out that Miley’s BFF Mandy Jiroux (of the Miley and Mandy show) is a member. The other girls are Brooke Adams, Dominique Domingo, Noreen Juliano, and Laura New.

    I just got home from Ashley’s 08/12/09 concert at at The Americana at Brand to support Donate Life California. I would like to again thank Donate Life once again for the VIP pass. 🙂
